Sundays (The Lord’s Day)
We meet every Sunday at 5104 E Stevenson Ave in Chillicothe, IL. All are welcome to join us.
Sunday School: 9:00-10:00
Our Sunday school hour is largely focused on discipleship and is one of our main contexts for teaching outside of corporate worship. We presently have one adult Sunday School class that meets in the sanctuary and the current topic is God Is: Understanding the Nature and Character of God. All ages are welcome to join the adult class. There is children’s programming for ages 0-18 during the Sunday school hour as well. Children’s Sunday School typically includes a bible lesson, singing songs, and catechism memorization at age-appropriate levels.
Worship Service: 10:30-12:00
The Word Read
Whether it is God calling us to worship, the confession of our sin, or the assurance of pardon, all that we do on a Sunday is focused on the Word.
The Word Preached
(Currently preaching through Romans)
The preaching of the Word is the public proclamation of the good news of the Gospel from the Scriptures. We preach verse by verse through books of the Bible.
The Word Prayed
As a chief part of our thankfulness, we respond to God’s goodness with reverent, biblically informed, Trinitarian, Spirit-filled, Christ-mediated prayer.
The Word Seen
Baptism and The Lord’s Supper are a ‘visible’ word of the promises of the New Covenant instituted by Christ for the edification and assurance of his people.
The Word Sung
Responding to the Word of God and the Gospel, we sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that are full of truth and stir our hearts.
Fellowship Meal: 12:30-1:30
Every Sunday after the worship service we have a church-wide fellowship meal. If you come to worship with us, we would love for you to stay and eat lunch afterward. This is a great time for people to get to know each other and strengthen our community with one another.
Wednesdays
We meet every Wednesday at 5104 E Stevenson Ave in Chillicothe, IL. All are welcome to join us.
Prayer Meeting: 6:00-7:30
Our mid-week ministry at CCC is largely focused on prayer. Each week we gather to commune with God in prayer together as a body. Our prayer meetings are led and guided by one of our ministry leaders; typically all ages are joined together for the first few minutes and then subsequently the children are dismissed for children’s ministry. The programming for children on Wednesday nights is less formal — a great time for children/students to connect with people their own age.
Fellowship: 7:30-8:00
After the prayer meeting, everyone is welcome to hang around for fellowship with one another and there is a light snack is provided.
